Well folks, here we are, with the Man himself Willie G. Davidson. I could
never have imagined winning an award as prestigious as this. Some bike builders
can only dream of such an honor.

Heres a little about the award:

As of the time this is written My name is the 6th ever in history to receive this award.
This is a "permanent trophy" In that the winners names all appear on the trophy
and it is on display at every national H.O.G. Rally, and will be on display at the new
HD Museum in Milwaukee permanently.
It's the Willie G. Award, presented each year to one special Ride-In show entry at
the U.S. Annual Rally. Since its introduction in 2002, the award - which is
presented by Willie G. Davidson himself - has grown in prestige as more and more
names are added.
Seeing as Willie G. is best known as the Motor Company's styling "guru," and that
he always took a special interest in the Ride-In-Show at the Annual Rally, it only
made sense that his name be attached to the ultimate award.
The Ride-In Show winners are selected by a group of Harley-Davidson employees
who know and understand both the product and customization. The Willie G.
Award Winner is chosen by other bike show participants, people who have a
strong passion for customization.
In addition to getting their name on the "permanent" trophy, winners get a smaller
trophy to keep. The meaning behind the hardware is only half the story, however -
because Willie G. put nearly as much effort into designing the trophies as he does
into creating a new Harley. "Theres nothing else like it out there" Willie says.
According to Willie G. "People who win this award are people who have poured
their heart and soul into making their motorcycles something extra special. And I'm
extremely honored that my name shares that space with theirs."

Obviously I could not be more excited about this honor, We actually went
to knoxville to get a picture with Willie G. and the bike. Well, we managed
that and so much more.
It was a very hot weekend and 116 motorcycles were in the show, and
believe me all of them were nice enough to win! We had a great time
meeting other HD enthusiasts and I am still riding in the clouds!!!
It took nearly 1 year and 9 months to build the "Roadmaster" with many
long nights of blood sweat and tears. But I can say its all my design, all my
creation, and all my own work!!! Just so you know - We have put over 7000
miles on this bike since completion (well they're never completed, but
since it was rideable). This bike has made trips to Laconia N.H. and
climbed Mt. Washington, Lots of local rides, and of course to Knoxville
Tennessee to meet Willie and it has NEVER been on a trailer! And it won't
be as long as it is functional!

So as you can see, you can build a bike to be ridden and still achieve the
highest of rewards. Please folks, don't build garage furniture, but build
something you can use and enjoy, as that is what they are for!

Thanks for sharing my success and please feel free to email me with any
questions you may have. See ya in the wind................................ WB
